On Friday, February 3, 2012, Lisa M. Friel, T&M’s Vice President of Sexual Misconduct Consulting & Investigations, will participate in a panel entitled “Law Making for Gender Equality” at the 6th Annual Harvard Women’s Law Association Conference at Harvard Law School. The panelists will discuss how legislation has been recently used to achieve greater gender equality and improve the lives of women in the areas of reproductive rights, fair pay, Title IX and reducing violence against women. 

The Harvard Women’s Law Association’s stated mission is “to support women at Harvard Law School by preparing them to succeed as students and lawyers, while providing exceptional programming that enhances the social, political, and professional lives of HLS students.” The keynote speaker for the 2012 Conference is Kamala Harris, the Attorney General of California. The theme of the event is “Mind the Gap: Achieving Actual Parity” and other panels include: Health Moms and Daughters: Maternal Health Worldwide; Women in Leadership; and Litigating to Fight Discrimination.
